Bought these for my fiance as a Christmas gift. She loves them. I saw reviews about the clasp and I can imagine that if someone is trying to put these on without help, that it could be a little tricky. That being said, it is not an unusual clasp. I have seen clasps like this before, and it should not be a make or break decision. Anyone that wouldn't buy this because of the clasp design is simply nitpicking. I thought this was an interesting set because the pearl size graduated from small by the clasp to largest at the center of the strand. It looks exactly like the images and you can tell that the pearls are carefully picked to make the piece look beautiful. The seller reached out to me almost immediately after buying to make sure I received them and asked if I was happy with them. That was nice, but wasn't able to give much feedback then as it was a gift yet to be given. The necklace came wrapped in a beautiful box tied with a bow. My fiance immediately was excited when seeing the box and suspected it was something fancy. These pearls are a good purchase for the money if you a looking for a beautiful set that isn't as costly as some pearls out there can be. I would recommend these to anyone looking for something similar to these.
