These are exquisite earrings. They are so delicate, dainty, elegant and feather light. They are a little like a drop of golden water, but with none of the weight of water. They come in a box, within a zippered fabric bag with a loop on one corner. I like that loop for putting over a hanger, when arranging my wardrobe for the next morning. Another reason I have come, over the past few days, to like that bag, is that these earrings are so very lightweight, they could be very easily misplaced, even while just opening an earring box, they could drift to the floor and into the carpet...they are that fine. When I go through the process of opening first the bag and then the box, all my attention is on the process, and I keep very careful track of them. That may not mean much to anyone else, but I have lost enough earrings over the years, to want to be very sure to never lose these, because they are so unique and elegant.Only one thing bothered me about these earrings, and that is that they came with very small metal butterfly clutches for backs, and they hurt my fingers. Not only that, but one of them got jammed on the earring, when I was trying to take it off, for putting on the earring the first time. I had to use the edge of my blouse to help me ease it off. I immediately replaced the butterfly clutches with rubber backs, which are what I always prefer. I am not changing my rating because of these backs, as I know it is all a matter of personal preference, since I have sisters who hate the rubber backs I like ,and always use the metal ones. My suggestion is to always include a set of both. I did really appreciate that the artisans of these included a card expressing their enjoyment of making them, and their hope that I enjoyed wearing them as much. I do enjoy wearing them, and I have received compliments from people who have never commented on the crosses or crucifixes I wear. These are friends who do not appreciate anything that expresses my faith, but they could not resist these earrings, they are so lovely. I forget I even have them on, until they softly brush against my neck.If you are considering these as a gift, I would encourage you. These look perfect with a church outfit, something for a night out, and they work as well with jeans and a pullover. I think their delicacy would make them appealing to any woman of any age, and what a meaningful present...they really are gorgeous.
