I got this necklace for my husband who was wanting a new gold chain. It looks really nice when first looking at it, he likes the style of the chain and the length. The cross pendant is a bit too big for him, so he doesn't use it. My only issue is I'm not sure this is actually real gold. It is stamped 24k, but the yellow coloring is a bit too bright and it doesn't feel like real gold. It also has some areas where the gold has come off and you see silver coloring. I'm going to have to get it checked to make sure, but from first observation I'm not confident it's real. That's why I gave it 3 stars.

This is a beautiful chain and cross I ordered for my son. He wanted something small and the picture looked good, will admit I don't necessarily read the fine print sometimes. Arrived in a box and was all wrapped in a plastic bag, would prefer it made a better presentation so I took it out of that and arranged it on the white stuffing. The cross looked to be 2.5-3 inches which I would have preferred around 1/2 that size, but over all it was quite nice looking. Will see what he thinks!

From first glance this cross necklace looked nice - upon further inspection I soon realized the description listed as 24k gold cross necklace and rope chain but if you read the detail description there are key words like "the look and feel of solid gold." or "overlay with semi precious metals." Also there are variance in wording between 14K vs 24K and there is a difference. In addition - there are parts already turning color. This is not what you think you are getting based on initial description. Also please don’t stamp it 24K if it’s gold overlay that’s not even true- the color is too vibrant not anywhere near the color of solid gold. You can also see the clasp starting to change colors, we haven't even worn it yet.

This was on the large side, so if you are wanting a BOLD cross, this will be it. The gold is wearing well. I've worn it many times and the coating hasn't worn off at all.
