I was so excited to receive these!! I was even more excited that they were authentic opals. Upon opening the (very nicely packaged) box with a velvet back inside, I first noticed that the backs of one of the earrings was bent. 😔 The second thing I noticed, is that these lack practically any color or fire. I had to take my phone light and hold it directly up to them to detect any semblance of color (which is only very subtle neon green). I was very disappointed. I was even more disappointed that the back was bent… since these are screw-back, I spent about twenty minored trying to straight out the back so the screw-on backs would actually go on. 😔Also, one of the opals is glued (or positioned?) on slightly off-center.I may keep them for the settings, since the quality of the jewelry itself is quite nice and very dainty/delicate—however, I will be looking for different stones to use in the setting. :(
