These are beautiful earrings. They are just delicate enough that they are not heavy. The golden color is beautiful and if it isn't real gold then I cannot distinguish so. They are lovely and I enjoy them with pearls that match the ivory stones in the middle.

These earrings are well packaged and could technically be giftable, if not for a few issues that sort of make them less than ideal. For starters, the pendant is a bit on the heavier side, but not very heavy, which is understandable as I believe they're made with real shell (I ordered the variation with white shell). When the pendants hung from my ears, they had a tendency to touch the side of my neck as I moved, which I didn't particularly like. Not only that, but the end of the hook is a little excessively sharp, and pokes your earlobe as you push it through your lobe. I also found that the hook was a little too easy to push all the way through the earlobe in one motion, which might lead to the earrings falling off your ears (I would recommend using the rubber backs). All in all, these might be decent earrings if you: 1. don't mind having the earrings touch your neck here and there 2. don't mind a little weight to your earrings, and 3. don't mind being slightly scratched by the earring hook. I would really recommend that if you gift these earrings to someone, you should either file the end of the hook until it's smooth, or replace the hook entirely with a hook that has a smoother end.
