I chose this ring to accompany my wedding band and they look great together. The color of the amethyst in my ring is about 40% lighter than the one shown, but it is a lovely color, more lavender than purple. I actually like the fact that it is lighter than other amethyst rings I own, it sets it apart. I like the overall size of the setting, the amethyst looks approximately the same size as a 1 ct round diamond solitaire. The bands are delicate but should stand up to daily wear.
