I lost one of a flimsy pair of 14k gold earrings about this size, so I purchased two pair of these 10k gold earrings. I am very pleased with them. They aren't as flimsy as the 14k gold earrings, they fasten securely and don't irritate my ears. I have lost so many earrings in my life, I decided to get two pairs so when I lost one earring I would have plenty of backups. These are economical enough to do that.
