First of all, not everyone knows that tiny pearls are very rare to come by today. I say that, because I've been able to get the 4.0-4.5 mm pearl version of this necklace at deep savings from Amazon Warehouse (used-like new, used- very good), and believe they were returned because the pearls are small. The trend in jewelry today is "minimalist" and the pearls are gorgeous! Round. Lustrous. Beautiful. Because of their size the fish hook gold clasp is easier to manipulate. For special occasions you can slide a large bailed pendant or clip on enhancer to the necklace. Very well made. Nicely packaged.
