Watch Pouch KW2 Series

I like the overall design of flat pouches for two watches - way more convenient than roll type of case. Unfortunately the execution could be better. Outside looks ok, not great with light brown protein leather and sealed edges. I would prefer more premium looking material on the outside, but the current one does the job. It closes with two snap buttons which works fine. Inside is lined with grey suede, which is very soft so it will not scratch your watch. There are two pouches made from suede with individual flaps kept closed by a single snap button each. Two pieces of leather are included which you put between watch and bracelet/strap. The snaps are covered inside the pouches, so they should not scratch the watch, but unfortunately not with the suede but some other material. The snaps are placed in such a way that while closing it has to be pressed against watch dial or a clasp. I would prefer if there would be no snaps at all, just a flap. Or maybe position the snaps at the very bottom. Also pouches are rather small, dress watch will fit without a problem, but anything bigger than 42mm, bulky divers with bracelet, etc. may be a tight fit. I would prefer bigger pouches. If made using more premium materials and slightly redesigned it would be a perfect travel solution. It comes nicely packaged in a microfiber bag and good looking box so it is suitable for gifts.

Often when I travel for purposes other than pleasure, I use a dress watch for meetings and wear a Timex or equivalent through the airports and on the plane. I would just put my good watch somewhere in my carry-on in a sock or something to semi-protect it. In Japan, accoutrements are very important when meeting. Along with a good looking business card, your tie, watch, and shoes are inspected without comment. If you want to impress, you put on a good watch and that $200 Dunhill tie. This case formalizes the protection for a non-worn valuable watch. It's not totally necessary, but it protects while in transit. As such, it would make a nice gift for someone who carries several watches for whatever reason. For myself, ever since leaving my black phone charger in the hotel room at Kansai Airport, I've never gone with anything black. My travel wallet is now bright yellow with a black dress wallet stowed. To keep things visible, I went with the brown leather case with the gray lining. The case is a nice leather and the lining is a very soft suede. The pockets are large enough to hold the latest fashion huge (to me) watches. The watch on the right in the photo is my largest (and heaviest) watch. I'm not completely sure of the brown leather tabs that a watchband might hook around, as my bands are so long that the tab just floats around. Perhaps it's to protect the back of the watch from any scratching by the band itself. This is not something that I would use on a vacation as I wouldn't bother taking extra watches, but when you have to take a suit, dress shirts and shoes, it's not much more.It comes very nicely packaged in a textured slide out box and a soft velour bag. On the Amazon page, the "D" is for "Double" and holds 2 watches. The "S" models hold 1 watch and have a zippered pocket and the whole thing closes with a zipper. On the "D" models, it's snaps all around. I have no trouble closing the snaps and the outside snaps are easily closed by putting your finger under the snap to remove any pressure from the watch. Velcro collects dirt after a while but a good snap will outlast the leather.

Notice how all the photos show a watch sticking out of the case? This product is too small to fit a watch that was a strap on it. See photo. You cannot close case. I suppose the idea is to wrap the strap around the provided leather pad, close the pin/buckle, and put in the case. But that will crush the strap and bend it out of shape. Same problem with a bracelet that won’t lay flat when closed. Seems like a bad design to me. Otherwise, it does feel like decent quality and looks great. Two stars

This only works with flexible watch bands. If you wear a Movado or Waldor watch with a rigid band, won't work. Had to send back.

Let’s start with the bad so we can get straight to the point. I don’t like the placement of the buttons because the hardest part of the case sits directly on either the crystal or the clasp depending on how you put the watch in the case. Yes the button does have a little piece of leather or some sort of material to attempt to protect this part but the button seems mostly unnecessary and creates an issue instead of a solution. I feel like the flap alone would secure the watch when all this is closed but the button is there. I also feel like there are more efficient designs that keep your watch safer than this. If the package was tighter and had a zip around the perimeter like the edc case by uncle straps at a similar price you could have a safer design that made the buttons unneeded. With that said this is really well made. It also looks great. The leather feels very soft and I am confident absent the button my watches would be well kept in this. I also love the leather bracelet dividers which give some extra protection from your bracelet scratching the watch. All in all I may just be too picky because I own too many watch rolls or travel cases but I also have some less expensive watch rolls that give more protection than this but miss the mark on the touch of class this beautiful case has. It looks great and for many people it will do the trick but I cringed the few times I snapped the button directly on top of my expensive trinkets. Hope this helps. And I look forward to the next version because this case really could be something special.

I really liked this watch case because the color was beautiful and the inside was well made also size is also very good for travel. I was just very impressed as soon as I opened it up. However, after using it I can see that it really flexes quite a bit and since it’s not closed on all sides I don’t feel it’s as secure as what I would like for my favorite watches. This is a good watch case for traveling as long as you have it in a secure spot however I wouldn’t feel comfortable just putting it in my backpack or putting it in that luggage case because its open design isn't secure enough for me.
