I bought this for a special needs lady because the size is about 1 1/2 inches for the heart and bail, so she can handle it easier than a tiny pendent. It is in stainless steel which will be durable and it is very pretty. The only issue I have with it is the clasp that holds the locket closed would not hold it closed, it keeps popping open. I called Amazon and ask them to replace it so I am hoping the next one will be as expected. I gave it 4 stars because of the clasp. If the next one works the same, then that is a defect in the design and I will give it one star at that time. Otherwise, I like it very much.UPDATE: Received replacement and it is in perfect condition, the clasp works like it is supoposed to. Changed the 4 star rating to 5 star.

I want to say for the price this is a great buy. Knowing that it was cheap, i do not expect a ton out of it regarding quality. But this piece broke on the very first time we opened the locket. Its possible that this one was defective.
