The reason for one star taken off is it broke. However, it took this choker about a year and a half before the cord snapped. It was showing this sign of wear and tear, but that's another story. With almost everyday wear (except during showers and exercising), this choker is a very nice piece. The stones are beautiful, which is why I'm sad it broke. I had gotten quite a bit of compliments about it when I wore it, so it is one that can be worn with almost anything. Despite what happened, I'd still recommend this necklace to anyone that has a love for tiger's eye, and/or in need of something that will give you a feeling of optimism.
