I've had my ear piercings for 5 years+ and they are still very sensitive to everything that's not the original platinum studs I got when I pierced them. I finally got tired of the pain and annoyance and decided to try this out. It actually works. I was completely comfortable from morning to evening with a pair of earrings that previously left my ear lobes all swollen with pus (sorry TMI) after a day's wear. It does smell pretty bad (fun fact, it smells the same as the renaissance wax I bought to try out for the same purpose, so maybe they are formulated pretty similarly).

My daughter in law reacted to her white gold wedding ring. We took it to a jeweler, who told us that people react more to white gold than yellow God and there wasn't anything he could do. I ordered this, she applied it to the ring, and has been wearing it for weeks with no reaction at all. We are so pleased with this product and it really works well. I would recommend it to anyone who reacts badly to white gold jewlery.

All earrings That are not pure sterling silver bother my ears! Even Gold. I’ve sat down as soon as this came in and put 3 to 4 coats on every set of earrings that I owned. It does not fix the problem completely, but it does make my earrings more bearable to wear. It puts off soreness and tenderness four hours longer than I used to be able to bear.

About a year ago, I seem to have developed an allergy to the metal in my wedding rings. They are made of very expensive palladium white gold, which is supposed to be hypo-allergenic, but I was told recently, can contain some nickel. The rings would cause my finger to turn red, itch and develop tiny blisters. I was crushed when I had to stop wearing them and replaced them with an inexpensive sterling set instead. But THEN, I discovered this product, and IT WORKS! I applied one coat to each ring and let it dry overnight. A couple weeks later I applied a second coat, just in case. I am now wearing my custom designed rings again and am so happy!!! No rash, no irritation at all. Based on the reviews I've been reading, it seems to work better on rings than on earrings. It's a small price tag to at least try. Luckily for me, it has worked like a charm!

The nickel allergy came out of nowhere. I found out after the gift of a very expensive white gold and diamond ring turned my finger into hamburger. I tried my daughter's clear nail polish... don't bother. It lasted a day.I love this ring, so decided to give this product a go.I can wear my ring now. One application has lasted 10 day so far. I plan on putting on a light coat every week or so.Bottom line, if you get "the curse", buy this.

I have a nickle allergy and after 10 years of wearing my white gold wedding ring, now I can't wear it without breaking out into an itchy rash. I was hoping this would help, but it didn't for me. I tried it several times, but never seemed to last longer than 24 hours. Finally I got some good advise from my jeweler, who told me the rhodium coding had probably worn off of my ring which was why I'm breaking out now but wasn't for many years. I had the jeweler put a new rhodium platting on my ring and now all breaking out has stopped. Hope this helps someone else who is having the same problem I was.

I’ve had to swear off earrings for years now because of my metal allergy. It sucked!!! By chance I decided to try this product with absolutely no hope or expectation of it working. Well I was wrong. Pleasantly surprised! This lacquer is very odorous so be sure you crack some windows. It’s applied just like clear nail polish. It takes several coats and does need to be reapplied as needed but to me it’s well worth it. Wearing earrings for the first time in years and no irritation! I slept in earrings for several days and showered with earrings in without issue. This absolutely works. And one bottle will easily last a loooooooong time.
