I just opened up the package and it was the worst smell I have ever smelt in my life. The plate and box smelt terrible. It almost felt like a prank. But the I washed dish and it is clean and looks pretty! Nothing against the plate buy it! However not sure if it was the company or Amazon who packaged it but I just wanted to warn those who buy to get Lysol ready
