Today we're looking at jewelrycard's Happy 40th Birthday Necklace.- Build: This product is well-made. The necklace is made of sterling silver, and showcases four beautiful cubic zirconia gemstone 'pips' in a silver display. Our inspection did not identify any manufacturer defect with our test product, nor did we find any notable design flaw. We noted that all components fit together seamlessly, with no indication of wobbliness or flimsiness. We assess that this product will last 3+ years with proper care.- Price: At the time of writing, this product is priced comparably to similar products on the market. The 'Special Occasion' jewelry niche is highly saturated, and we observed comparable products coming in at both lower and higher price points. However, this product differentiates itself by being made of solid sterling silver with well-polished cubic zirconias representing the '40 year' milestone. For these reasons, we consider this a good deal.- Aesthetics: We really like the look of this necklace. We do note, however, that the cubic zirconia pips slide inside of the silver display, and they do so very easily. That's a problem because when worn, they will almost never look evenly spaced out as shown in the manufacturer photos. They will more often be bunched up on one side or the other.Bottom line: We like this product. It looks good, is made with good materials, and is priced competitively. The pips should have been affixed in place, however. The media could not be loaded.  I’m turning 40 in less than a month. I've ordered a few things to help cheer myself up. This is my favorite out of all of them. I love the way this moves; it's such an interesting piece. It doesn't scream that it's an age-oriented item, so the message is more personal and subtle. The necklace is delicate, feminine, and simply beautiful. If I received this as a gift I would think the giver spent more than $36!

I love this necklace. To me, 40 is one of the more pivotal ages. You've spent some time building your life, and now you get to see what that effort has brought. This necklace is a lovely reminder of what brought you to 40 and an inspiration for the next 40. Well crafted, simple and lovely.

This is a nice quality necklace for the price. I like that it is sterling silver and not plated. I feel like it’s very reasonable at this price point. I also like that it has movement and is unique for necklaces. It is a beautiful piece, but the very best thing is the birthday message. It would make anyone feel good and warm their heart. This makes it an exceptional gift. I think the necklace is great considering the price. I would recommend it.

I am 39, so I figured I can wear this necklace with the ownice of *almost* being 40.It arrived, and it is gorgeous. It appears to be solid 925 Sterling silver, and the style is very unique and nostalgic. It is a nice change from birthstone necklaces... just one necklace, celebrating four decades of existence.My one complaint with this necklace is the little gems in the center roll back and forth--they are not locked in place. While this is a nice effect, while wearing this necklace, they will all roll to one side or the other, causing a slight imbalance in how the necklace sits on the neck.I may modify the necklace slightly to keep them in place so the necklace is more stationary--but overall, it's a minor complaint and may not bother others as it bothers me.It is a lovely item and would be very well received as a gift for any reason (especially a birthday, since many people have a big issue with the big 4-0 over other birthday milestones).
