I've always loved 1928 jewelry. These earrings did not disappoint. They are elegant but casual at the same time. I love them because the black beads have a little shine but not too much. They are LIGHTWEIGHT!! Comfortable and I'll probably order in another color because of the workmanship and comfort. I don't often give an item 5 stars.

I loved these so much but lost one the first day as I didn't realize you needed to use the little plastic plugs with them, I thought it was just to keep them on the card thingy they come on. The hook comes out very easily from your ear. I was soooo bummed to loose it. So if you buy these, please make sure you use the plastic stops with them. They were the most expensive pair I bought and now have to save some money to get another set. Not that they are overly expensive, just not in my budget at the moment.

I was looking for earrings for a friend's wedding when I came across these purple chandelier earrings. I had a lot of requirements: something that would match a lilac-colored dress, be long enough to complement an updo, look formal but not boring, and (most importantly) fit in with my grad student budget. I'm happy to say that these satisfied on all counts! The size of these earrings strikes a good balance because they are long and distinct but will never distract from your face or weigh down your ears. They're not overly sparkly or garish, so they were appropriate beside the formal attire, but they brought noticeable color and interest to the whole outfit.The best part about these, especially as far as my budget is concerned, is that I can use them for less fancy occasions. Because they have multiple shades of purple, I've also been able to wear them with a casual violet-colored dress to jazz it up a bit. These are very versatile and classy and a worthwhile purchase all around.

These ear rings were light weight, not bulky, very comfortable. Not too long for my short neck. Made well. Came in perfect condition in a cute little box.

These are smaller than most chandelier earrings. The ornament itself is 1 3/4" long, so the total drop is about 2 1/4" . They are understated and classy, giving just the right amount of color, sparkle, and movement. They are lightweight and easy to wear. The purple color is subtle, so they go with lots of outfits.UPDATEI'm updating this review now that I've had them for about 3 months. They are still in great shape, though I tend to just toss them on the counter in the general direction of my other jewelry. I've worn them a lot - daytime and night, casual and dressy - and received compliments almost every time!I now own 3 pairs of 1928 earrings, and they are tied for first place favorite. Great brand, I'll be collecting more.

This was a gift for one of my 21 grandchildren for her birthday. She loves 1928 style and one other style that I know about. This gift was for a 16 year old girl who is very elegant and tall, and can carry off these earrings very well. They're only for special occasions, as her parents allow her to wear less fancy earring for everyday. These are absolutely beautiful. Frankly, they're very much like a pair of my own 1928s which this particular granddaughter admired, so when I saw them, I snapped them up. Also, they're just the right color because she loves purple. I have yet to see them on her, but I'm sure they will look beautiful. They're a beautiful pair of earrings, perfect for a gift for someone special, and at the right price. I would buy them again and do recommend them for anyone who wants something special.
