I was looking for a large, masculine watch with a blue dial. Someone referred me to Invicta watches which I had never heard of. I'm not a watch connoisseur by any means but I usually like to try one on and see how it looks and feels before buying. However, Amazon seemed like the only place to find Invicta watches. I am extremely picky so I looked at every blue dial Invicta watch on Amazon (I'm not kidding). I read all the reviews and narrowed it down to a handful. Then I came across this one which had yet to be reviewed. I was wary of ordering one without another reviewer's opinion but I liked the look of it so much I decided to take a chance. The watch is even more beautiful than the picture. The dial, like the picture, definitely has a purple tint but it looks very nice. The other features of the dial differ from the picture probably due to over-exposure of the photo. In the picture, all the writing, hands, hour marks, etc. appear white. In reality, they are all silver, with the exception of the small triangle at the end of the hour hand and the elongated triangle on the inside of the minute hand, which are in fact white. This makes the watch sparkle and shine far more than the picture would lead you to believe. However, the watch is not gaudy nor does it look overly bling-y (if that's a word). Despite the dimensions, I was surprised that the watch does not look all that big on my wrist. I'm a decent-sized guy (6'3", 240 lbs.) but I still thought the watch would look bigger. Not heavy or uncomfortable at all. I did take three links out of the band with ease with a tool I bought on Amazon as well. My only complaint with the watch was that it took several tries, following the directions in the manual, to get the chronograph hand (what looks like the large second hand) to line up with the "12." It was a couple of seconds to the left. After a few tries, though, it did line up correctly. I'm hesitant to use the stopwatch feature, though, for fear the hand wouldn't line up again. That, and the fact that this is only the first day I'm wearing it, is why I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5. It really is a beautiful watch and I'm sure I will get a lot of compliments. I purchased it for $99.99 and I noticed today it's selling for $252.86. In looking at all the watches, I noticed that the prices seem to fluctuate wildly from day to day. So if it's more than you're willing to spend, check back every day and the price may drop.
