I thought it was real silver when I ordered it. It is not but it is still very nice. My son is in the Navy and I wanted a charm that i could wear around my neck . I have been wearing just the charm since I received it and it has not tarnished . SO that is pretty good.

I wish that it was a 14 or 16 inch necklace. No way to adjust necklace so that jewelry can be seen. It is beautiful. I probably will have to take to jeweler to remove at least 5 or 6 links. Otherwise I would have rated it a 5.
