Overall a good quality necklace. I wear mine nearly everyday and it has yet to tarnish. I do not shower with it on but I do sweat a lot during my exercises, so it has held up well to that. However my boyfriend has the same necklace and his broke. He might have yanked it though I am not sure, but mine is fine
