I was very pleasantly surprised by this box. I wasn't sure what I would receive but it's actually quite well made. the compartments are small, only about 4x4 but hold enough and the liner inside holds well. I have not had any trouble with mine and I've had it quite a few months now. Very pretty, nicely made, holds up well and I highly recommend it! Now, since there were several choices of boxes, I am reviewing the one that has a total of 5 compartments and is hinged to open by pulling sideways it's called Design 10. I do wish it were bigger though but I am very happy with my purchase and I do recommend it!

I love that the wood carvings aren’t perfect. It’s charming and vintage. Deep red velvet lining is a perfect touch with the wood. Reminds me of box my dad had on his dresser growing up.

My biggest complaint is that the screws for the base went through the wood. The thickness of the lining in the box could be measured with special scientific tools! It is seriously thin. One side is really light the other really dark. It's just amazingly shoddy workmanship. I didn't read any of the reviews like I usually do because it was the design I was looking for.

Just received this item today, when I opened it up there was sawdust and dead bugs (im guessing wood mites) inside one of the compartments.
