I order this because I needed an earring and necklace display for a small space on a table. Almost all the ones I have found have an odd numbered earring slot so I decided on this on. It came packed.with two mdf (think like dollar store clipboards) backers. They weren't attached and I don't know if they were part of the piece or for shipping but I painted them with chalkboard paint and stapled them on! I moved the board up using the already attached hanger hooks as guides and stapled. The legs can still be used that way. I absolutely love it.

This is a very rather simple, but perfectly useful display. It is not designed for heavy commercial retail, but not a problem with the product, just not really designed to be wrestled with by inpatient customers. The display is perfect for retail if it behind glass, and if someone wanted to handle an item, it will be removed, and replaced by someone that is not going to knock it over. The real sweet spot would be as a display for photos, or videos, of your products, to publish online. Really an excellent value, just not designed for heavy retail. Enjoy!

First time I used it, it broke like a Popsicle stick.

This isn't a particularly sturdy or fancy jewelry holder, but it's also really inexpensive, so I gave it 4 stars (but be aware of what you're getting). It feels like real wood but it's really lightweight and almost hollow feeling. It does a good job of holding my necklaces, though, which is all I really wanted (most jewelry boxes only have a few hooks). I like to try and keep my surfaces clear, so instead of sitting it on the feet (which isn't a very sturdy proposition because they don't attach at all to the base), I used the enclosed hardware and mounted it to the wall in my closet. I appreciate using vertical space (I have lots of wall space lol). It came with two pieces of backing, which I installed behind the piece prior to hanging it so that the necklaces don't scratch my walls. If I decide to keep it long-term (if it holds up), I will put some felt on the backing with a glue gun to protect my jewelry from scratching as well. It comes with wall anchors and screws for attaching it, and has hooks pre-installed for hanging.I would recommend this, but be realistic about your expectations for the price point. It works fine so far for my needs, and holds lots of necklaces. Instead of hanging earrings on the notches, I installed more hooks (I got a cheap pack at the hardware store) so I can hang necklaces on both sides. If you plan on just setting it on a table, be aware that it's kind of rickety. Some glue might help keep the feet attached, but I would definitely put it up against a wall because it will likely tip over. IMO, this works best for wall hanging (I'd give it 3 stars if I planned to use it on my dresser).

I have a lot of jewelry and needed a better way to store it, mainly because I forget to wear items tucked away in a drawer. This particular item just didn’t work out. I had planned to set it on my dresser. The structure felt “rickety” but that is the nature of the design and of the lightweight wood. Three of the feet would not stay attached unless I glued or screwed them on. Not worth the effort. I decided to try and hang it on the wall. That didnt workout for me. One whole side is primarily for earrings. I could use it for that, but it was too awkward to remove them, even the fish hook style, forget trying with studs. It also really looked tacky hanging on the wall. I’ll look for a better option. If someone has a large closet or more space on a dressing table it might work better for you, just be prepared to work on the “foot” issue.
