I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE (Zero Gravity) NECKLACES FOR MYSELF AND LOVE IT; NO PROBLEMS AT ALL SO FAR. THESE ARE GIFTS FOR A FAMILY REUNION (I'm having coins attached from the BVI where we're meeting up; the coins, or a pendant of some type keep the clasp in back: this is so with all brands). I like the barrel clasp much better than the crab claw: takes up less "shell area", easier for my not-so-dainty hands to manipulate, it's never loosened on me, nor has the knot (whatever it is) inside the barrel ends has held up w/o incident. I bought the Tiger shell for the guys and white for the ladies in the group. The size says 18 inches > and it's 18 inches.

Back when Puka Shell Necklaces were hard to get, having one meant you had travelled to Hawaii or knew someone who had travelled there. These have all the traditional features of traditional Puka Shell Necklaces you would see back in the 70s. I have been wearing my necklace every day for a month and it is holding up nicely.
