This is a lovely necklace set for two best friends. They are both 11 and this is an appropriate gift from one to the other. It comes in a little red bag with both pieces inside so my daughter is giving her friend both at the same time then they'll each take half. My daughter is very happy with it. If the clasp or chain breaks I'll edit my rating.

This little silver (stainless steel) set of friendship necklaces is imprinted with "Not Sisters by Blood" on one front side, and "But Sisters by Heart" on the other front side. These are clearly meant for friends, not actual sisters; but the description on the page may confuse potential customers, especially if English is not their first language. I've taken off 1 star for that, even though I'm generally very forgiving of obvious translation issues. There are just a lot of problems with that product description. The bottom line, though, is that these necklaces are friendship necklaces. I think the target demographic for this item is the tween/teen market, or adults purchasing a gift for a tween/teen. My 11-year-old granddaughter is very excited about this necklace, to share with her bestie at school. I'm glad that the chains are a little better quality than many of these items are. I also love that they are made of stainless steel, not aluminum or tin, which can bend, break, and discolor the skin. The price, $9.99 as of this writing, is very reasonable. Most of all, I'm glad that my granddaughter is so excited to present this to her bestie as a gift. And that's the best gift of all.
