I would give this 5 stars for the low price and large size but I'm giving it 4 stars instead for a couple of reasons. 1) I think the matte gold glittery substance that's added only serves to take away from the pretty transparency of the rest of the pendant 2) The chain is essentially a long, thin rubber band, like something that may come on a Dollar Store necklace, which is a shame. I would rather pay a little more and not have to buy a separate chain but, as it is, besides its cheap look, I'm not sure I can trust the rubbery 'chain' to hold up for very long. In that sense, you get what you pay for, but I would say the pendant is worth buying with or without a chain. I researched on Amazon and other sites for pendants this size and they were either quite a bit more expensive (especially those that are genuine Morano glass) or not as large. I wanted a pendant this size to really make a statement. I haven't worn it yet but anticipate getting many compliments- once I add a nice chain. I can see the pendant being easily mistaken for Morano glass (which would be at least double the price), with a nice chain but as it stands, no one I know would risk wearing Morano glass on a cheap chain.

Although the pendant itself is quite lovely the cord barely fits around my throat let alone be a pendant. Is there no one doing any quality controlof your products dear Amazon?

Very beautiful pendant for the price. You will love the swirl design. The black necklace that accompanies the pendant is chintzy and I would advise using a stronger rope or chain.
