I don't know what kind of micro fabric they use to make these flower pins, but it feels like silk to me. The folds of the flower and the leaves feel like a real flower, soft and velvety. Lays nice on the lapel of a jacket, too. Would not tug on or overwhelm a delicate dress. It comes boxed and set up like a genuine corsage from the florist. If you wanted to present this as a gift, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't love this. Two pearl pin fasteners also are included. It brings that tweed jacket to life, somehow. Even an every-day cardigan looks special and new again. Very reasonably priced and very well made.
