Well made pin that was hand painted over pewter? Not sure what the base metal is but it looks good and is well made. Suggest buying better post clips.

When I was younger I had gotten my dad a similar pin on a field trip and he put it on his hat and wore it everywhere. One fishing trip his hook accidentally caught his hat and casted it out, pin and all. I was so happy to have found one identical that could replace something very special to him.

very nice! Large pin. If you are using it on a hat, it is large
