It would have been nice if it had come with a certificate certifying that it's real jade. It didn't come with a certificate, so I can't be certain that it's real jade or potentially a simulant of some kind. I'm not an expert in jade so I really can't say one way or another whether it's real jade or not.All I know is that I like it, a lot. It's definitely a real stone of some kind. It has a nice light green jade color, it has a good weight, and feels cold to the touch. I'm very happy with it.I'd also like to point out to all the jade sellers out there, that if this weren't real genuine jade, if you would just be honest about it in the product description I probably would have still been happy to buy this. "Faux jade" or "imitation jade" are great terms to use for things that look like jade but aren't jade, plus you get extra points for being seen as honest. Just price it accordingly. These materials (real jade and jade lookalikes) are genuinely beautiful. I value that even if it's not real jade. Just be honest!All of that might make it sound like I suspect this isn't real jade. I'm not saying that, and I'm certainly not accusing the seller of lying. This very well might be real jade. I don't know. If they would start including certificates in the future, it would be easier to believe that it's real jade. (I know the jade certification system isn't perfect either but it's better than nothing)So like I said. I like this pendant a lot. I think it's beautiful and I'm happy I bought it. I would buy it again, and I would buy similar pendants in the future if I see more at this price point on Amazon. (It was really, really nice not having to wait for this to ship all the way from China!)
