Nice cute jewelry box

I tried to take some pictures, but they don't do anything the listing photos don't do. And pictures don't do the product justice. Trust me, it's great. For real. This jewelry box is quite impressive in real life. First off, we were pleasantly surprised to see a tag that it came from Austin, TX. It's nice when a product you like comes from your own country.Did you know that "Keep Austin Weird" is a slogan the small business council in Austin adopted years ago. I always liked that little tidbit of trivia. That, and that most car horns honk in the key of F. Also, a study in 2011 showed that 1 out of every 3 divorce filings mentioned "Facebook" in the depositions. Weird, like Al.Anyhow, this is a very nice jewelry box. The lady of the household really liked it. I was quite impressed by it as well. It has some heft to it, which to me, shows quality of wood and crafting. The mirror is pretty potent as well. We were all dismayed by how many wrinkles we each could spot. But again, that speaks to quality in my view. This is a very nice looking, high quality item. The only constructive negative we could come up with is that it is definitely a jewelry box you keep at home. The lid wouldn't be secure for travel. But, we're a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll, just like Austin, TX, and would probably be fine using a couple of rubber bands if the jewelry box needed to go on tour.We give it 4 thumbs up, a standing ovation and of course, 5 stars. Highly recommended. Also... Keep Austin Weird.

This is really a very uniquely styled wooden jewelry box that is equally suitable for use by men as well as women. As the wood is left unstained ( I think), this jewelry box is actually pretty to see all the straight grain in the wood, especially along the side edges. The box has beautifully rounded corners too. The wood has been sanded so that it is very smooth on most surfaces. Inside, where the dividers meet the bottom of the box was really the only spot that was not silky smooth when it came to the sanding, but it wasn't rough either. I am thinking about cutting a piece of felt up to place on the bottom of each section because it would not only help to protect the jewelry (and the box) from any accidental scratches, but also maybe help keep jewelry from sliding around in the box if you are moving the jewelry box around. Size wise, this jewelry box can easily be stored in a dresser drawer and taken out as needed. The lid actually just lays on the top of the box, held in place because it fits into the rim when closed. Its entire back is mirrored, which is something I am sure all women appreciate, and maybe men too. The lid has a leather handle attached to open and close it. Once opened, the lid fits into the backmost slot, where it will stand securely upright. It can be removed if wanted. The lid can also be reversed on the jewelry box, which would give you a mirrored top, rather than a wood one.

This jewelry box is absolutely beautiful! The wood is rustic and modern, good quality, and smooth to the touch. It’s a great size for keeping some of your jewelry collection such as earrings, necklaces, and rings. The cool part about it is that it comes with a beautiful glass mirror that can be propped up on the inside of the wooden box so that you can view yourself with your jewelry. It closes shut with the mirror on top and it has a little handle tab at the end to lift up and open. Overall, this is such a quality piece and not only is it useful but it’s also beautiful to look at.

The mirror is high quality with no distortion and the pockets are large enough to hold lipstick/gloss, mascara, a small color pallet, and/or jewelry. The small profile of the wooden box is quite nice for keeping out of the way and it's minimalist design is very pleasing.

I'm using this for something other than its intended purpose but it's a lovely jewelry box just the same. The compartments are on the small side so it'd probably work best for rings/earrings/bracelets and not like statement piece necklaces or large cuffs. The top does not secure down with anything but gravity so this is not really a travel piece unless you're willing to secure it with hair ties or a bag or something. It very well made and looks great on a dresser or vanity though. I'm using it to store small art supplies like charcoal sticks, pastels, neocolor crayons, and blending stumps then using the mirror to do self-portraits. It's messy and not what the product is intended for but it does a REALLY good job at what I'm asking of it. I like it so much I'm recommending my artist friends also pick one up for the same purpose.

This is a fantastic wooden jewelry box. There are no latches, no hinges. You use the tab to pull the lid off. There is a mirror on the other side of the lid--very handy. I'm going to put some felt "feet" on the bottom, this is going to sit on a chest of drawers from 1920. I don't want to mess either dresser or jewelry box up.

I love this jewelry box! Not only does it go well with any decor, it's spacious and the mirror definitely comes in handy. Add to cart!

This jewelry box is well made with nice craftsmanship. It is simple in design yet useful. She, although very 'discerning' took to it well and had only one complaint - it needs felt feet to prevent it scratching her dressing table. A simple fix, but something that should seriously be considered adding into the package.
