The media could not be loaded.  Its nice but not real silver... returning it because they should totally let people know the clasp says 925 but it doesn't mean its 925 silver

Claiming this item is real silver is dangerous. This item appears to be silver plated, at best. This is based on information provided by expert jewelers, the manufacturer, and the actual deterioration of the coating over time.First, this necklace fails the magnet test. It lifts off the ground when exposed to the magnets used to open plastic cases at retail outlets. It does not leave any dark marks when rubbed with a soft cloth. Both tests were performed using a silver necklace purchased from a jewelry store alongside the one purchased from this listing. The retail jewelry store item did not respond to the magnet and left dark streaks on the cloth.The results were recorded, but could not be shown. There seems to be a reason so few reviews exist. Be warned that this item is not legitimate .925 silver, but the seller assures it is "made of safe materials" when asking for details on what other metals were used. Upon asking for further clarification of the specific materials considered safe, I was offered a refund.Upon wearing the necklace for any extended period of time, it does cause irritation. Be careful that this doesn't escalate into a serious reaction. In my case, the friction of the rough metal as the plating dissolved appears to have caused skin tags. This is when I realized the itch I kept randomly getting was actually hives.
