When this arrived. I kept it sealed in original packaging until I was getting ready to gift it. When I opened box and unwrapped and opened lid, it had bugs and what looked like nests inside. I have never had this happen. Disappointed, box was pretty, but I had to spray it down with bug killer and will probably have to throw it away.

It’s fun for kids to have one, they always have little precious things 😍It’s beautiful made, feels like real wood to me. One inconvenience with this box is that it doesn’t open easily, it needs a very hard pulling in order to open up but it may be because it hasn’t being use before. Overall I’m happy with this purchase.

I was looking for something to put all my stuff in that gathers on my end table (no drawers). This is perfect! It is a little bigger than I was picturing, but it is really pretty and made well. My only complaint is that it seals so tightly I have to use two hands to open it and then the lid flies all the way open rather than stopping at at 90° angle. I bought a cheap little hinge to solve that problem, but it's still a really tight close. I'm thinking I will sand the interior lip a little to see if that will help.

I bought this at the end of January. The chest had some small holes in the wood but I attributed that to the natural features of wood. I started to notice tiny piles of what I thought was powder around it at times. When the chest arrived it had loose powder around it so I initially thought it was from the applied pink color and sanded wood/sawdust. Yesterday, I found two dead bugs lying by tiny piles of sawdust and this morning I saw a live bug sticking out of one of the holes.I contacted Amazon and had to go through several different steps to get to a chat with an actual person. They sent me a QR code to return it but since I am past the return window, I am being charged a $5.96 restocking fee. This item should not be restocked but destroyed!I am writing this review to warn other shoppers. I had also ordered a blue wooden box from the same seller but that was bug-free.
