The size of this necklace is more like a nickel than a quarter, but it's still beautiful, so I can't really complain. I got the white gold version, and it holds up in the shower and pool, which is the only test I care about!The chain it comes with could be replaced with a thinner chain if you're into that look as another reviewer said, but I thought the chain it comes with is just fine, so I haven't changed it. Gotten many compliments already!

This is a handsome silver pendant and chain. The compass pendant is approximately 1" in diameter and the chain is 22" long. The combined weight is 6/10 of an ounce (0.60).I like the like the look of the pendant and the chain.I think men would like it to hang 2-3 inches lower on their chest (chain 4-6 inches longer) and have more weight....at least I do.Its an attractive piece and lots of guys would most likely love it. I think it would make a good gift for teen, a graduate or a thinner, smaller guy.
