My 83year old father asked what I’d like for my birthday and I sent him several links, including one for this pricey bracelet, never imagining he would pick the most expensive one.It was such a surprise and I loved it immediately! Silver is my favorite and if it’s not good quality or plated, it’ll turn me green. I wore this lovely bracelet for 6 days, never doing anything extreme while wearing it.On the 6th day, I was walking down a hall and the bracelet just fell off. Stunned, I picked it up and and saw the broken clasp. It looks like the mechanism just failed & isn’t fixable. I’m just glad I heard it fall and didn’t lose it.For the amount it cost, I’m shocked that they would put such a cheap clasp on it. Because I don’t want to tell my dad that his thoughtful gift broke, I guess I’m just going to take it to the jewelers and have the clasp replaced. What a shame.The good news is that it didn’t turn me green in the time I was able to wear it.So in short, the bracelet is lovely, but only purchase it if you don’t mind spending extra money to have a proper clasp attached.
