Run the chain thru the belt loop and then clip chain. It’s easy to use.

I like this chain a lot. The spring rings have openings that are too small to fit over my belt loops. The lobster claw clasp works great. Gotham is a good brand and goes well with my Gotham pocket watch. Recommended.

Watch end broke as I was attaching the watch. (Fixed side) the seller cant be faulted for thisI will keep the chain and replace the ends. If you buy one of these carefully check before use.
