This is our 2nd Gotham pocket watch and we are very impressed with the quality, craftsmanship and durability of each watch. We ordered this railroad double hunter watch for our sons special Birthday! The front opens and you see a beautiful watch face (black background with white Arabic numbers) and then you open the back and get blown away with seeing the 17 jewels along with the mechanical gears in motion as the watch keeps accurate time. We will definitely do business with Gotham again. Dave, thank you so much for going the extra mile! Customer service was excellent.

I reviewed past reviews and took note of complaints of watch failures, but based on the long term history of Gothum watches durability, I went ahead and ordered one. The watch was ordered from Amazon on October 13, 2022 and arrived three days later on October 16th, 2022. Shipping carton was in perfect condition. The watch is beautiful and functioned perfectly, keeping near perfect time with an Atomic wall clock I have...for about three weeks, and then it happened. I pulled the watch out of my pocket and it had gained over an hour in time. I reset it...time and time again with the same results. I boxed it up and made it ready for return for a refund. It was never over-wound, dropped, and was not worn on a daily basis either. I had planned on this being owned forever. Like so many other items in the US, these watches are now MADE IN CHINA. They apparently are not made with the quality they once were.

Does not keep time for very long. Lasts maybe six hours you have to wind it a lot. Seems like you can easily overwind the mainspring

I say "Seems" because I got to give as a gift to my Brother. I've looked it over a gave it a bit of a winding to see if it worked. Has a nice weight to it and is packaged well.

First watch had a problem. Returned it to Amazon for a refund. Seller since contacted me and offered a no charge replacement. Does not get any better than this. In my humble opinon, you could not go wrong purchasing a watch from Gotham.

returned 1rst watch because it wasn't keeping time correctly. I asked for a replacement, by the time it arrived the first watched was now keeping perfect time. I sent it back and kept the 2nd watch which was keeping perfect time right out of the box. After 2 weeks the stem of this watch fell off, this watch was never over wound and treated very well as I was proud to have this watch, and wanted it to last as long as possible. This more for show than wear, I have a wrist watch for every day timekeeping. After the watch broke I sent it back for a refund. The reason that I rated this so low is because I liked the product when it worked. The problem began with the customer service department. I asked to return it for a refund, I was supplied with a shipping label from Amazon. I shipped the watch and tracked it, by the tracking number it was delivered at its destination. It has now been 9 days and I have received no information about my return. I know that it takes time to do anything, but at least an email or text to inform me about what is happening, would be a common courtesy that could be afforded to anyone. Until now I have been a satisfied customer for the last ten years or better, and have never written a negative view as I didn't need to. But I thought that I needed to write this one.
