Far better quality than many pocket watches I've discovered in my quest for a reasonably priced but durable pocket watch. I love the clear face, font, face contrast and simplicity of design. As another reviewer remarked, time will tell as to this watch's performance and durability. My expectations for the price are modest. If disappointed, I'll modify my review. Having used it for about a week, I find myself delighted by the reasonably priced Gotham gold-tone thin pocket watch. It appears to be precisely what I've been looking for.

The watch is the best I've purchased close to this price. It is keeping perfect time. nice looks and build quality. I display it on my desk, do not carry it, do I can't speak to durability of the finish.I learned from buying a few pocket watches that hand wound are most popular, so give particular to this if you want a battery watch.If Gotham builds all watches this well at this price, then they have a good thing going.

This is a good watch at a good price. Arrived in 4 to 5 days, good service. The face of the watch is attractive, but is somewhat confusing to read as the minute and hour hands are similar in appearance and size, therefore being somewhat difficult to tell which hand is which at a glance.

This watch seems to be well made , very thin and quite good looking, keeps time well. other digita/ mechanical pocket watches I 've had tended to fail. I hope this one is different

The one I received was defective. The action was not powered / or broken / and the hour and minute hands were clearly out of sync. This is a good looking watch, and for the price seems to be about one of the best deals available in it's category, however quality control may be an issue, as in my case it clearly was. I do not like that I now have to send this product back for a refund.

This is my second Gotham pocket watch - I wrecked the first one by accident, but liked its size and simple dial so bought another one. Last night the plastic face popped off in my pocket fir no apparent reason. It was simply glued to the case so I tried re glueing it but messed up the face so threw it away. :( I'm going to seek a more durably constructed watch, not a Gotham. Looking closely at the face it is obvious not enough glue was used when it was assembled.

I'd liked to have given the watch four or five stars, but I doubt the material is brass as described, and indeed the Amazon image is inaccurate. The metal is a lighter, more yellowish (and rather cheap-looking) color, not the darker, subtly reddish color in the image. I like the smallish circumference, but it is not as thin as the description suggests.

When my friend Raymond told me that he had always wanted a pocketwatch, I knew Amazon would have some nice ones. He selected this one and he is so happy with it! It is easy to read and has exquisite classic styling . As Raymond said "simple but elegant". The gold on it is just beautiful, it is very shiny and looks like 18K. In addition, it was packed in a very nice gift box with a gold elastic ribbon-bow and the watch - complete with chain, by the way - is in a beautiful velveteen bag. Very well done. Great gift for someone special or yourself!
