This particular gold-tone necklace has nice large handcuffs, unlike the silver-tone ones I have which are the same size as the earrings. Both gold and silver necklaces open and close like regular handcuffs, which is cute but too tricky and time consuming, which is why I took off one star. I cut the chain at the back of the neck in each necklace and installed gold and silver magnetic clasps respectively, using garden loppers and needlenose pliers, so now I can put them on in a jiffy. They are a conversation piece at my Mystery Writers meetings.

I really like handcuff-type necklaces, bracelets and anklets so I thought I would like this. The best adjective I can use to describe this is gawdy. The handcuffs themselves are definitely on the large side, so this isn't something you could get away wearing to work most likely. Also, like the other reviewer I found the clasp difficult to undo.

I LOVE this necklace. I saw a celebrity wearing a handcuff necklace, but of course the necklace was made by a famous designer and cost like $1000. This necklace has a substantial weight to it (it doesn't feel cheap) and I've gotten tons of compliments on it. This is a great piece and it has a cool punk-vibe to it. NOTE: it took me a minute to figure out how to unclasp this necklace - you have to open one of the handcuffs to put the necklace on and take it off. Once I got the hang of that, I could remove it in a flash.

I'm there's are HUGE and gaudy. Probably ok for a Halloween costume but I was looking for a delicate feisty daily accent, not a necklace worthy of rap videos.... Oh well! There's always halloween!
