This was so pretty. It is delicate, but not so delicate that it gets lost on an adult woman. the charm is thick enough, but no pointy edges (I had another hummingbird that stabbed me in the chest all the time). I would say that I have a slightly thinner neck than average for my size and no chubby on my neck. When I put the necklace on at it's longest (there is about 2" of chain you can play with to adjust the length to your liking) it came about 2" below the hollow of my neck. At it's shortest, right in the hollow. It think this would probably fit just about any neck.I wore it for a good long run in the sun (sweaty!) and in the sauna. Still bright and shiny and it never irritated my skin (I am very sensitive to some metals).
