I ordered this to wear as a temporary wedding band while my actual ring was being repaired. I was not familiar with Cinnabar, but I read the description and thought it was intriguing enough to try it out. I was disappointed when it arrived because I (and my wife) thought it looked like plastic. The description states that it is 13% plastic, but that percentage seems understated. One good thing was that I ordered a size 9 and I received a size 9 and it fit perfectly. Luckily it was very inexpensive, so I kept it and wore it until I got my ring back. During that time, every person who noticed it asked me why I was wearing a plastic ring. It was only four of five people, but still....

The color on this ring is a nice rich red, but that is about the best thing I can say for it. It feels like a cheap plastic ring you might get out of a gumball machine for a few coins, having no weight to it at all and sharp inside edges that dig into my finger. Unlike other rings where over time I forget I'm wearing them, I was always conscious of this ring being on due to how uncomfortable it was. It did come true to size as far as that goes. Even at this price I can't recommend it.

I thought this ring would be a little more bright. The color is a little more dull than what’s shown online. It fit great, just looked a bit cheaply for me.

My first impression was that this stone ring was thick and nicely finished. It is well polished on the ring surface. Actually quite nice. But the inner edge of one side is quite sharp and angular. I think it could cut into skin, under stress or pressure. It’s much like that one side was skipped during final sanding and has just the straight edge cut, not a smooth polish.The ring is a thick, quality stone that I feel confident I can file and polish on the edgy side and enjoy wearing for years. I would think that is an anomaly, because it really presents a just one surface not being finished. I would not hesitate to purchase the ring again, or for gifting. But I can’t give the full five stars because of the unfinished edge.A diamond grinding bit on a Dremel will have that fixed in no time.

Overall: Recommended! Nice cinnabar which can be a very difficult material to work with since it has a low hardness scale. The one I got has the heart sutra and is very inspiring : ) Cheers
