When I wear this pendant, I feel as though I am wearing a piece of art. It is absolutely stunning. I plan on wearing it all the time but I am going to check with the company first and make sure I don't have to take it off in the shower. If they say I should take it off, I shall follow their guidelines because this is just so pretty I don't want to do anything to spoil it.This is the kind of pendant one can wear with anything - jeans or a ball gown! Not that it's likely you'd find me in the latter but you understand what I mean. Like fine art, that you can hang in any room of the house and not take away from its beauty, this pendant will lend itself to matching anything you wear.I also ordered a smaller pendant for my granddaughter and it is just as beautiful. It would be too small for me (9/8"). I would mention that my one inch appears to be more than 1/8" bigger than that the 9/8" I think if you are curious about sizes, it would be wise to use a metric ruler to compare. The smaller pendant has the flowers on the tree arranged in a different way than they are on mine so you can tell it was designed by a different person.If you want to see the painstaking way Murano designs the Millefiori pieces, I suggest you visit their website. It makes you wonder how they can charge such a low price for these pendants. I know they'd never want me to work in their plant, as I am SuperKlutz but it's interesting to note that my four favorite glasses were made by Murano and I haven't managed to break them in over three years, a record for me!
