For the most part, this earring set is really nice. I like the fact that it is officially licensed Disney merchandise. This makes me have more confidence and trust in it, that the earrings will be hypoallergenic. Although I don't see That said anywhere in the description, the earrings are supposed to have steel post backs on them, which is better than just some "junk" metal.I also think this Disney earring set is a good value, seeing how you get a lot of earrings for not that much money. The earrings themselves are not too big and they are lightweight, making them ideal for someone like me who can't wear any of the heavier earrings. Plus, even though it says that this set is for girls, any female of any age (as long as they're young at heart) might really love this earring assortment. I know I do, and I am an adult!With the wide selection of 16 different pairs, you absolutely could find a pair to match every single outfit. I also like to mix and match the earrings I wear. For example, wearing a Daisy Duck earring with a pink heart earring, in my other ear. There are countless mixes, and matches, to be made here. I do have 2 favorites already; the cute Figaro cat ones, and also the aqua ones with the bird Cuckoo-Loca.Now, for the negative part. While wearing the red glittery heart earrings, I was standing over the sink and combing my hair. Then my comb hit one of the earrings, as I was combing, and it went straight down the drain. I had to end up taking my drain apart, to retrieve it, but never again. That was just too much hassle over an earring that didn't even cost that much. So buyer Beware. These earrings are supposed to have "butterfly closure for secure wear". I did not find these golden earring backs to be very secure at all; quite the contrary. The backs are pathetically loose to the point that a simple comb swipe, will knock them straight out of your ear!Now, for the final rant. At least 50% of the posts on all my earrings, were bent, probably during shipping. Some posts are bent more than others. I just hope the posts don't snap in half when I go to rebending them. So, this set is Not of the highest quality, but all of the earrings are pretty at least. And if a pair gets lost or broken, it won't be any big loss when the earrings were inexpensive to start with.I cannot recommend this Disney earring set as being suitable for gifting, due to the number of bent posts. It is however, still a good enough set to buy for yourself, or immediate family members.
