The product arrived in packaging that protected it but also a box where we could present the gift nicely. They are small, but good for a younger child with peirced ears. Anything beyond preteen, I'd say these are too small for. Anything before, good fit. They are screw on backs which takes a little more time to put on, but it helps them from getting lost.
