I I put it on my Oktoberfest hat and it looks nice.I learned later that this pin was worn by a German regiment in WWII that committed a bunch of war crimes which kinda makes me want to wear it less.

It is a little on the light side, really didn't know what to expect. It is fine no sharp edges, it is the traditional two piece construction. It went on my hat easily, is secure, all ready for family gatherings and, Octoberfest.

Looks authentic I thought it was a push pin, however it is not. The back has two thin sharp nick long metal pieces which looks to go through pre gromited holes, in a jacket or hat maybe. Just be prepared for that.
