The photo on Amazon shows this earring with 14k butterfly backs. Mine came with plastic backs. Due to allergies, I can only wear 14k and higher gold earrings, so I will have to find a pair of backs that fit theses posts. I love this pair of earrings. The color and sparkle is exactly what I expected and wanted, but backless earrings make me feel cheated.

First of all, the earrings are very nice. Very uniform in size and very sparkly. I am underwhelmed, however, in the packaging. I bought these as a present and I can't use the box that they came in. They came in a box that is also obviously also used for necklaces. They use the notches at the top of the box that is usually reserved for a chain to hold the earrings. As a result, the earrings sit way up top in the box instead of being centered. Come on, spend another nickel and get a better box. Furthermore, the glue that holds the colored paper to the cardboard is not sticking. So, I need to go back online and buy a proper box. Lastly, a certificate of authenticity would have been nice. The recipient will have no way of knowing what stones are used or what type of metal they consist of. In this world of Sterling silver and gold-filled, 14kt gold is rare. It would be nice if 14kt was noted. I have no idea if these are genuine or not. I hope they are. You can do a lot better at putting your customers at ease. I'm ambivalent as to wether I'll buy from you again .
