The earrings look like they should based on the picture on the website. They are very pretty. However, in real life the "gold" looks a bit cheap. Also, the lever backs are not super tight and I'm afraid that with a lot of wear, they might loosen up too much and thus not work at all. I almost bought a different pair of garnet earrings from the same company--those were round gems with 14 karat gold lever backs. I think those might have been better quality; however, I wanted bigger gems and something with more detail. (These are a gift and I don't have time to re-order.) The other disappointment was the box it came in: it was a box for a ring, not for earrings. I would hate to be a guy buying these earrings for his girlfriend and he gives her the box--wrapped up, of course--and she thinks she's getting a ring and a proposal! Yikes!
