I wear a 1.5" 16g industrial per my piercer. The length of this is just shy of the 1.5" bar I took out, which isn't a big deal. I kind of like the shorter length. It is definitely not a 14g, though. It slid into the 16g holes with zero resistance. I didn't get out my gauger, but I'd say it's 16g. It looks great! The only thing I'm really concerned about is that the (internally threaded) balls do not lock/give resistance at all. If I lose a ball, I'll just update my post and thread the dragonfly onto my old bar!
