This item was advertised as stainless steel, but i do not believe that it is. I have multiple piercings that i wear stainless steel jewelry in and none of them ever corrode or tarnish. This does. I have to remove and clean it every othee day because of green build up. None of my other piercings require this. Just wanted to give a heads up to other people who may have an allergy. Currently wearing in my conch and love the look.
