The bar is super short, you'll have to use wire pliers to straighten out part of the hook and re-curve the hook in order to get it in your nose. I would call this "child sized".

Initially, I really liked this nose ring. It was smaller than I anticipated, however, the stone fell out within the first 3 months of use.

I tried to insert this nose screw to no avail as it was acutely hooked. Amazon ordered a replacement. I messaged the seller asking whether (if the replacement had the same shape as the original) a jeweler could bend this nose screw without damaging it. I received a prompt reply that I could adjust the nose screw myself. I did this VERY carefully using cosmetic tweezers and tissue. It worked!! I was then able to inset the screw easily.A great product and great seller.
