This is the fourth G-shock that I've owned (dw5600E-1, GA110, and gw6900-1). I love this watch. I love the blackout feature. It's flashy but discrete. The bull bar provides extra protection, as well as a nice aesthetic touch in that it also gives me a sense of security telling me that I can be rough and tumble with it.It's bulky. It's bulkier than the above mentioned models (the GA110 is pretty bulky) and I think its the bulkiest of the watches I've seen in the gshock line. The bars add another 2-3mm in thickness as well. IF you're adverse to thickness, this is not the watch for you. The band width is pretty wide as well. Now, I look better with bigger watches, so this fits me well. But I want to make sure people know that if they are questioning aboutI've noticed a lot of criticism regarding these polarized g-shock watches and the difficulty it is to see the time in the dark. However, I noticed that it is difficult to see the watch when viewing it directly at 90 degrees (that is, viewing directly on top). However when viewed between at a 30-40 degree angle, it shows perfectly, every time, even in low light.The Auto EL feature works for 6 hours when enabled, which is perfect in the evening. It lights up at 40 degree angle and has a blueish tint in the background, which is a great contrast to the black/red and is easily viewable. It also has all the other basic casio features that go without saying.I really like this watch. I don't want to marry it, and I'm not emotionally tied to it, but I like the way it feels on my arm and how it looks and compliments my color wheel (yeah I said that). If bulky is your thing, and your hesitant, don't be.

When I look at my watch, I don't want to see a million bits of useless information. I just want to glance briefly and see three things: THE TIME, THE DAY OF THE WEEK, AND THE DATE. That's why I absolutely love this watch. It shows all three at once! The only other feature that's a must-have for me is a light . . . and this watch has that too! Although it has a timer feature, that's too complicated for me, and I can never remember which buttons to press. If I need a timer, my phone is better anyway. But like I said, this watch is perfect because it only gives you the important information, and it's really durable. However, I just lost mine and have no idea where it went. I want to buy another one, that's how I got here, but I had paid $75 in 2021, and now the price has been raised. I'll wait and see if I can find a better deal.

Love it, especially the bull bars that wrap around it.Year and a half layer, looks the same as the day I bought it. Strong and very waterproof. All buttons work but challenging to set it up and change the time when daylight savings start and stop.

I'm a diesel mechanic and I've been wearing this thing every day 24/7 since I got it 3 months ago. While on occasion it gets in the way because it's a bit on the bulky side, it's taken baths in every fluid imaginable and keeps going. Looks great still. It takes time to get oil etc etc out of all the nooks and crannies but it cleans up well and hasn't had any permanent stains or scratches as of yet. Well worth it

I purchased this as a gift for my husband, he’s worn it daily since Christmas with no complaints. Still using the battery it came with, and the watch has held up great with daily wear and tear.
