Entirely confused as to why they made this "bracelet" so long, even at its tightest! it has now become an anklet for me, at its loosest.

It's a cute bracelet, a classic, dainty design. I like that the pearls are attached to the chain with a wire-wrap connection rather than a jump ring. This method is more secure and is more labor intensive - the wraps are very neatly made. When I examine the wraps with my loupe, I can see that the gold plating did not cover some of the cut ends of the wire wraps - probably chipped off when the wire was cut, but it is not enough to be visible without magnification. The lobster clasp works well. The small gold beads are not the highest quality - I can see the seams on them. It would have been nicer to have seamless gold beads. What I don't like is that these pearls are most likely not freshwater pearls. The product description on the top of the page does not mention freshwater pearls - it describes 14K gold plating over brass and doesn't mention the pearls at all. But lower down the page it talks about hand-selecting freshwater pearls to use in their jewelry. I figured that this bracelet therefore was made with freshwater pearls but it isn't.
