This is easy to put on and fits my neck cause it ties though it's not like those stretchy tie that goes all around its just loose pieces on the end to tie. It doesn't bother my neck either, it's not that iritating scratchy fabric, it's kind of the same fabric as that but way better. And it looks nice

It's simple and nice to wear - making people laugh when they see you. It's very light so kids would like it but it's not as thick and heavy was the original design to keep you warm and clean in the environment about 400 years ago. LOL, it's nice today.

Other reviews mentioned that it comes flat and that is true, but following the merchant’s suggestion, it is fluffed up like the image. Soak in cold water for 1 hour and blow dry it with a hairdryer (hot). With this material it doesn’t take long to dry.The satin ribbon did come frayed so I had to tie the ends to prevent it from unraveling. Still worth the cost.

The item that arrived did not look like the item pictured, more like a beginning costumer's blind attempt at a neck ruff. It was clearly made with different techniques than the item pictured in the listing. Even with fluffing it still looked wrong and terrible.

The media could not be loaded.  I was ready to write a 1 star review until i read the instructions to soak and dry it with a hair dryer. It turned out way better than it first appeared when I removed it from the packaging, and it will do for my Halloween costume, but it's a bit loose around my neck, so I'll have to adjust it, and yet the ruffles are smaller than I expected. Not all the crinkles totally came out after soaking for an hour. The ruffles are 2 1/2 inches wide, so not quite as extravagant as an Elizabethan collar.
