Seems to be genuine titanium as it hasn't made my ears itchy yet. Even some "surgical" stainless steel contains 5-10% nickel my skin reacts poorly to it. Use nitrile or latex exam gloves to unscrew the ball if you're having trouble

I purchased this because of all the 5 star ratings. Maybe mine is defective??? I've been trying for the past hour to unscrew the ends. I've used my teeth, I've used pliers, I've used my boyfriend. Nothing is making them budge. Useless now since I can't use it for my industrial.
